About Me

About Courtney

Your trying your best to claw through another mommy mess.

Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. If anyone tells you they haven’t, they are lying. Being a mom is hard, and it doesn’t come with an instruction manual. Well, I guess there a lot of parenting books out there, but your child and situation are unique. You are looking to learn from another mom’s experience.

You are in the right place!

I share my experiences as a new mom. I talk about things I wish I had known while I was pregnant. I give you fun craft ideas that won’t break the bank, and I share ways to have fun on a budget.

Moms have a lot on their plate:

  • Figuring out how to get your child to nap
  • Running kids to school and other activities
  • Teaching your children to be kind, productive members of society
  • Wrangling rowdy toddlers at the grocery store
  • Keeping a neat and tidy home
  • Oh, and don’t forget, you need a social life too!

Being a mom is hard work! There are so many things to do, and sometimes we don’t know where to start.

Why do I blog?

I am sure I could have done any number of things with my life. I grew up with a single mom who stressed that women can do anything that men do (she would even argue that we can do it better). I have a college degree, and I was accepted into graduate school. I have been in the workforce, behind a desk, but I missed being home with my baby.

I am determined to find a way to stay home with my son and contribute, not only to his wellbeing but to our family’s livelihood too. So, I do odd jobs in the evening like tutoring and babysitting, but I hope that my blog will prove to be another source of accomplishment and help our family.

I want to learn from my mistakes, and I want to keep a record of those lessons for myself and other moms. We need to lift each other up and share our knowledge. This world can benefit from my voice, and I bet it can benefit from yours too.
